Sylvie Vartan ( born 15 August 1944) is a French singer of Bulgarian origin. She was one of the first rock girls in France. Vartan was the most productive and active of the yé-yé style artists, considered as the toughest-sounding of those. Her performance often featured elaborate show-dance choreography. She made many appearances on French and Italian TV. Yearly shows with her husband at the time Johnny Hallyday attracted full houses at the Olympia and the Palais des congrès de Paris throughout the 1960s and Mid-1970s. After a break in performances, she began recording and giving concerts of jazz ballads in the French speaking countries again in late 2004.

The White Witch

Jadis, commonly known during her rule of Narnia as the White Witch, is the main antagonist of The Magician's Nephew and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe in C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia series. She is the Witch who froze Narnia in the Hundred Years Winter.

Some recent editions of the books include brief notes, added by later editors, that describe the cast of characters. As Lewis scholar Peter Schakel points out, the description there of Jadis and the Queen of Underland "states incorrectly that the Queen of Underland is an embodiment of Jadis".^[1] Beyond characterising the two as "Northern Witches", Lewis's text does not connect them.

A lap dance is a type of erotic dance performed in some strip clubs in which the patron is seated, and the dancer is either in immediate contact (contact dancing) with the patron, or within a very short distance. Depending on the local jurisdiction and community standards, lap dances can involve touching of the dancer by the patron, the patron by the dancer, neither, or both; the dancer may be naked, topless or fully clothed. Variant terms include couch dance which is a lap dance where the customer is seated on a couch, and bed dance where the customer lies down. In some places a block session (usually half an hour to an hour) can be booked in a champagne room, where the dancer and the patron talk in an intimate setting and drink champagne together. The dancer might perform lap dances too, depending on the patron's wishes.

Camera Work Gallery showed a solo exhibition of the artists Tina Berning and Michelangelo Di Battista in Berlin for the first time.

More than 30 works, solely unique pieces in the exhibition. Within their collaboration, Tina and Michelangelo blur the boundaries between fashion photography, drawing and painting.
The two artists met for the first time on occasion of a photo shoot for Vogue Italia in the summer of 2007. The two started working together and quickly realized the great potential of their creative collaboration. During the shooting Tina Berning and Michelangelo Di Battista noticed that they had entered a territory together which had already previously captured each of them individually. Ignoring the computer's possibilities for manipulation, they combined their fields of works, photography, and drawing, anachronisticall in an analogue way.
Michelangelo's portraits of women (including super models Claudia Schiffer, Amber Valletta and Julia Stegner) complemented by Tina's applications, comments, and paitings, seem to function as a stock-check and an analysis of contemporary feminine beauty. By merging the two disciplines, the superficial masquerade is being destroyed and the portrayed women are thus given a new level of complexity. The drawings engage with the photographs and let the images become complex blueprints of the essence of the portrayed.
In their work two artists create a subjective, critical but at the same time tender view on women.
This large-scale continuation of their artistic collaboration for Vogue Italia displays the hubris and frailty of femininity, which is reflected on the surface of the media. The photos reveal the challenging, yet at the same time sublime charisma of women portrayed.

They seem to dissolve from their medial image to reemerge precisely through them, powerful and musing, sensitive and beautiful, mature and self-determined.
